
HELP WANTED: FULL-TIME PATROLMAN
The Town of Delton is accepting applications for a full-time Town Patrolman. Benefits offered are health insurance, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO) and State Retirement.
Work in this position would include all types of duties involved in the day-to-day operations of the Road Department. Applicants should be able to complete physical duties such as: lifting, bending, walking, standing for extended periods, utilization of a chain saw and safe operation of all Town of Delton equipment.
Example duties include, but not limited to, such tasks as assessing roads for damage or repair, road repairs, snow and ice plowing and removal, cemetery interments and maintenance, roadside tree trimming and chipping, mowing, roadside garbage pick-up, road patching, working with contractors, keeping shop and equipment clean.
A valid Wisconsin license is required with a minimum of a Class B with air brake endorsement. Mechanical skills, knowledge, and experience in the safe operation of heavy equipment such as snowplow trucks, loaders, backhoes and skid steer equipment are desirable.
